where do you draw the line??

"Passengers arriving at the airport were given leaflets telling them what was banned from carry-on bags, including liquids or gels of any size — shampoo, suntan lotion, toothpaste, hair gel or anything similar. Passengers with beverages were told to drink them before boarding."
-Yahoo News

"Bottles of water, contact lens solution and liquid medicine were among the items barred from hand luggage. The Home Office website added that duty-free liquids would also be removed from passengers boarding flights to the US."
- Guardian Unlimited

And so, i was set thinking, if all these are prohibited, then what actually pass the test of a solid?
Do they have a viscosity test in the security checkpoints?
i mean, is custard considered a liquid? especially ones that are quite dry.. what happens if the custard is dry on the outside and a little wet in the middle? is that a liquid? how about fudge inside brownies? You see, you will never know what has liquid and what doesnt, and what about yoghurt? if they say that yoghurt passes the test, then what about the pieces of cut fruit thats always beneath the yoghurt? they contain quite a lot of water too!

if you want to stretch it a little, US, human beings contain 70% water!! thats more than quite a lot of gels and what have yous they have banned already. So each and everyone of us is a walking bomb!! are they going to start dehydrating all their passengers before they board their flights? goodness, imagine how funny it would be if the flight attendent goes to this dehydrated (crispy bacon.... yum) man and says "sir, you look a little parched, can i get you anything?"

oh.. good luck for anyone travelling to the states and UK over these few weeks..
