day off

i had a super slack day today!! whee! tell you what happened, this morning, woke up at 8, walked around the house, and decided that i need more sleep, then went back to my comfy bed till 11.. it felt so good to wake up with the skies all bright around you... its like everything around is prepared for your awakening!! (ok.. that was bad..)
anyway, had a super long and leisurely breakfast, nessaged peeps in school gloating about my break and making them irritated.. (is it just me or am i losing my touch at this?)

yes yes, then i went on to sit in the nice warm sun to read some of the stuff that i've never gotten the time to.. i must admit, TIME is quite interesting..

then in the afternoon, my left pinky got me interested, the growth thingie that looks like a wart. (yes yes, for those who know my anatomy really well, u should know that there is this growth thingie on my left pinky that looks really gross.. ) yes yes, so today i thought to myself" its been there for too long.." so i took a cab down to the polyclinic, went in to register myself as a first time patient, waited for my number, and waited, and waited... i tell ya, the singaporean healthcare system is really quite inefficient. i mean, the time i went was like at 3:30 pm, and that there were barely 10 people in the waiting area.... however, the red LED screen above each of the TWELVE rooms were flashing once like ten miniutes... i dont know if its the super healthy me that hardly ever goes to the doctor's or what, but it seemed like ages...

driven by the need to cool off, i walked in the pharmacy, where there is actually air-con, and walked around for like five miniutes, walked out, saw the number not moving, walked right back in and bought a packed of milo nuggets.. is considered medicene, the reciept stated in bold that "MEDICENE PURCHASED WITHOUT PRESCRIPTION" this is so boring eh?? im geting bored just typing it... aii..

when my turn finally came, the doctor, an indian lady of middle age, attended to me and asked what was wrong with me. I stuck out my pinky for her and told her the wart there was irritating me. Well, apparently, according to her, its not a wart, but its the result of many injuries and impact to the area that caused the tissue underneath the already damaged skin to form even more screwed stuff... yeah..

but then again, i felt that it was quite disappointing that everything ended with jut this tube of oinment. i was expecting like liquid nitrogen sprays, huge trays of blades, scalpels, razors and the works.... all the nitrogen monoxide, the cotton swabs to clean up blood and maybe even pus... also, the doctors would all be clad in their robes, donning their sterile caps, wearing hug masks so that they sound all distorted and muffled, like the aliens straight out of some low budget sci-fi flick.(ooh... so kinky...) but oh well, what you thing you get and what you ultimately get is very different...
