AC anthem=canadian anthem??

mel gave me this link...
http://www.ingeb.org/songs/indaysof.html
look at the lyrics...
then click on the melody part...
strange resemblance huh??

makes u wonder whether did H.M hoisington wrote it....
food for thought there.. and why does it have anything to do with Canada?? i mean, acs was founded by the American mission.. and as far as i know, the yankees hate the canadians....
maybe hoisington was canadian!!! and he thought he was funny by doing that.. after all, he wrote it like during the post WWII period.. when communication systems and all were down.... and who would like go hear the Canadian national anthem? let alone travel to Canada from this puny south east asian Island??? i have a theory... he was canadian, asked to write school song, when faced with his ignorance for music, he turned to the only piece he ever heard, changed the words a little and voila!! the AC anthem..... so he would have been remembered throughout generations of Acsians and honoured for the mediocre work that he has done.. and all along we have been kept in the dark.... this is the anthem that bonds like 60 years of acsians together... imagine the shock when they realise that they have been singing to the maple leaf all the time??

this olympics, im gonna listen carefully if Canada wins anything.... during the national anthems of course... that is IF they win something of course....
