ramblings

So, my UM1s died this evening...

The right channel will only make sounds if i press onto the rubber bit at the earphone jack. Connectivity problems.

Its interesting that i found this out when i was at the train station. I made a call to jaben, and they said to bring it down, and they will send it to be repaired for me! Such nice people!! Everybody please buy all your personal audio stuff from jaben!

Anyway, upon reaching there, i went into the little shop, i was told that it would take about a month for them to come back, the nice people there offered to loan me a pair of Mylarones X3is! Such generosity! But i had the X3is all along to be a backup pair, so its all good.

After that, gabriel said the servicing would be free, but i needed to pay for shipping(which would amount to about $30), i was fine with it actually, i left my beloved UM1s there with my contact number and the description of the problem, and i left. Before even leaving the mall, i got a call from gabriel, saying that out darling uncle wilson waived my shipping fee!!!! How awesome is that?!?! seriously, this is customer service at its best. Really fantastic people they are at jaben. They should be nominated for some service excellence award, for attitude, friendliness, tact, knowledge, professionalism! i think every single positive attribute you can think of, they've got it!

Well, everything other than tidiness.

The vietnamese beef stew at soup spoon pales in comparison to ernest's simple lamb stew by a mile....... really. good stuff.. i think you can sell your stew recipe to soup spoon....... or marmalade pantry for that matter. The simple xue stew.

3 years down the road, the same converstaion would take place.

customer: what is xue? Is it like corn?

Cutsy waitress: i don't know, i think its a vegetable... But its Good!! =D

Customer: huh? err, okay, give me one of that.

***10 minutes later***

Cutsy waitress: oh, sorry, i asked the chefs about it, its actually a person's name. The person who invented the stew...

Customer: awwwwwwwwwwwwwww
