I watched the Channel 5 broadcast of "In Parliament" where MPs and Ministers debate on some of the most pressing and talked about issues in singapore today. Today's debate was mainly focused on 2 broad topics, CPF and education.
The CPF segment was actually taken quite lightheartedly by the speaker, citing a simple x+y=z and hence z-y=x example to tell singaporeans that taking CPF out later means that it will never fail on you. Right. A lemming could have told you that if it could talk. Anyway, i am really far away from the time i can withdrawl my CPF, so what do i care?
The education segment is where i was most interested. Before i continue, watch this clip of Education minister Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam(i hope i got the spelling correct) addressed the parliament.
Finished? Truth is, i didn't hear anything.. i just watched his head glisten. and the Angles of light bounce off the huge dome as he varied his neck movement in tempo as well as in cant. Its really mesmerizing. I know the online link might not be too clear, but let me tell you that on TV, it was as if someone sewed sequins on his head!
Who says i don't care about current affairs?
