Well, the title of this post suggests some of the skills and abilities that i've picked up since i condemned myself on april the 8th this year. Which also means that i have about a year and a month more before i get the hell out of the doldrums of serving a nation that sucks the happiness out of its inhabitants. However, despite all that, i have actually learnt a thing or two from this mindless endeavour.
i have an idea that can make you money!! you go and set up a laundry post outside any camp in singapore, charge about a dollar for a set of uniforms to wash on fridays, and get it done over the weekend, so the fellas can collect it on sunday before they book in!! i tell you, this is a huge market, because singapore has like at least like what 50,000 NSF servicemen at any one time, and most of them will not wash their clothes in camp. You think about it, most people would use on average 2-3 sets of their uniform a week, and if you charge them say, a dollar for each, you would get about 3 dollars per soldier, and then you multiply it by the number of soldiers in each camp, which is about say, 2000? in a medium sized camp, thats like 6000 big ones in one camp! and then you can do it all over singapore, so you collect a lot of $6000 a week.. how cool is that? So, by providing such services, you will be earning your paper and serve the country at the same TIME!! Now isn't that grand?
who says that army doesnt teach you anything?
oh well, got weekend deployment next week, wont be home for the weekend, but will be on off the entire week following that, call me!!!!!!!!!!
