spontaneous family

I think i come from a spontaneous family, you might call it last minute, or unprepared, but i choose to call mine spontaneous. You might also complain that i always do things really last minute, or ask people out on very very short notices. But i guess thats just how i was brought up.

And how to show this spontanitiy better than organizing a last minute holiday to BALI over my block leave next week? haha.

its like this:
me: hey dad, i have leave next week, till thursday.
dad: Oh, thats good, hmm... since you have no more leave left till next year, lets do something
me: oh, okay, lets stay home and bum.
dad: lets get away!
me: err, where?
dad: how bout.... lets see -scours the newspapers for travel ads- BALI!
me: but see, i have no passport, ICA(immigrations checkpoint authority) hasn'y issued me with a new passport yet.
dad: go call them up and ask them.
me: okay..... -goes to call-

-5 minutes later-

me: okay, i can collect it tmr!
dad: hey, i booked tickets for sunday to Bali.
me: WOW, THATS FAST
dad: kay, go pack...

(all these while my mom has been sitting there "sulking" cuz she cant go due to work commitments..)

and so, within like half an hour, i have transformed myself from meaningless ns army boy, to an exciting, vibrant and spontanetous island hopper. haha.. oh well. my family's cute.
