update

okay... since i havent been blogging for a while, i shall just take this time to record my first working experience right here just in case i wanna look back two years later to reminisce about my past.

so anyhow.. i got a job as a direct salesperson, and by direct i mean it in the most literal understanding. i directly go to each person i see, every door, every shop, every office, every bangla... you get the idea.

what do i sell? some might ask.

i sell everything.. kiddy umbrellas that look like donald duck, a screwdriver that opens up everything(even underwear), dancing dogs that sits on a pillow, a 4-in-1 art set. blah.. so, technically i am a walk-in salesperson. Trying to have fun with people from 50+ year old lawyers, bitchy receptionists, banglas that love to see you (but flee at the knowledge that the product is $20, 2 days of their pay).

My line of work right now takes me places that i would never have set foot on, like industrial estates in woodlands, the tiny shophouse offices in little india, the living quarters of banglas(it seriously was a shock for me). bascially, you never know what kind of people would greet you(if any) behind each door.. there are nice middle aged ladies that offer you a cup of coffee, indifferent customers that wont look at you even if you prance around in front of their faces, and also really rude ones that would throw you out straight away.. occasionally play hide and seek with the security in the office building.. its quite fun if you have a right attitude..

The fun and satisfaction you get from the job is also largely from the pay you recieve at the end of each day. Compared to other sales jobs which gives you a basic pay, and pathetic commission, mine is purely performanced based, with no basic, but a thick slice of commission.. however, if you have fun on the job, play your cards right, you are gonna be like "juicey!!" every single end of the day..

lastly, there's quite good camaderie in the office, with 12 other just graduated JC people, its quite fun.. actually, the only thing i cant really adjust to is that loud techno that is being blasted throughout the office at almost all hours.. apparently, the boss doesnt allow anything other thab techno cuz he thinks that R&B or pop relaxes you and doesnt psyche you up for the job at hand.. haha.. i still chuckle to myself occasionally when i remind myself of that explanation..

*So, if there's anyone who wants to earn some quick cash and willing to take on something with a challenge, contact meE!! also people who want a career in sales, that gives you the potential to earn seriously good money in the ranges of 1K to 15k weekly..*
