Singapore gogogoal!!!!!!!

It is such a wonderful night for Singapore as "We" brought home the tiger cup after 6 years in other countries like thailand and Malaysia...
as i was watching the match at home, i didnt get to experience the wonderfully intense atmosphere at the Kallang stadium.. from the tv, u can just feel the rise and fall of the famous kallang wave... and you cant help to be drawn into what can be called an enthralling performance by the singapore team. this is the first time i've seen them play so well at home..

i must admit now that im not the biggest fan of singapore football, but having lived here and kicked a ball around for quite some time, i do feel a connection to what i see on the tele.. besides, its really heartwarming to see that singaporeans actually went to pack the entire fifty-five thousand seater... apparently, according to the commetator, the last time that happened was in 1994, 11 years ago, when singapore played selangor in some tournament final as well..since then, singaporean football has been a disappointment, with exceptions for tonight and 1998 as well.. now there is a real probablility that "we" will qualify for the 2010 or 2014 world cup.

Anyway, the crowd is just so vocal, with the famaliar "OLE OLE" thing, and the clapping in rhythm la... and with everyone decked out in red.. seems like an early chinese new year celebration with everyone in the Singapore camp basking in the festive mood.. im sure team HAVOC did their stuff there properly..

all in all, congratulations to you, the chilli padi of SEA..but now that only applies to the geographical statistics..
