career aspirations

dont ask me why im blogging on a sunday night when i have lots to hand up tomorrow.
but as i was typing in my blog URL today, for the record, its www.call-police.blogspot.com, anyway, i was reminded of one of the many scoldings i got back then when i was 10.

back then, i was only primary 5, still skinny.
once, i got called to the teacher's table for either talking too much or not completing my homework... its always one of the two, and usually one is exacebated by the prescence of the other. anyway, the teacher was like," you havent done your homework for 3 weeks!! why?"

lianglin: i forgot

teacher: how many times have u gave me that same excuse?

lianglin: -silence-

teacher: (tries to calm herself) what did you write in your last journal about what you want to be
when you grow up?

lianglin: i wrote there i wanted to be a policeman.....

teacher: you think with your lousy memory and lack of discipline... you can make a good policeman? do you know the responsibilities of being a policeman?

lianglin: i only wanted to become a policeman because can handle guns.

such a naive statement... i reckon i still remembered this "Scolding" because of the career thing.. i mean, of course it wasnt word for word true, but the gist is there...
sigh.. that was just like seven years ago, and come to think of it.. it didnt seem such a long time.

i guess thats the reason for me being so child-like.. and then such a target for younger siblings of others to pick on.. a very good recent example would be jamie's brother, jack.

however, i think the only thing thats changed was the actual career aspiration.. its no longer wanting to be a policeman.. now, its the police caller... =P
