Colors

I like the colour blue. I think it's cool. Maybe red is nice. We can see a particular colour because that particular spectrum is reflected whilst all the rest are absorbed. Funny how black absorbs everything. So why is it black? If all colours were absorbed, shouln't it be transparent?
